It's official: Bella Hadid is breaking into the beauty biz. The 27-year-old model has just revealed the launch of 'Ôrəbella, a skin-nourishing fragrance line set to debut on Thursday, May 2. In an interview with Vogue coinciding with the brand announcement, Hadid shared that it's the "first-ever non-alcoholic, essential oil-based, bi-phase perfume."

The bi-phase technology of Hadid's fragrances sets them apart from the rest. According to a press release, 'Ôrəbella fragrances are made up of two layers. The first layer boasts nourishing ingredients such as hydrating snow mushroom and moisturizing oils, which not only give your skin TLC but also make the perfume's fragrances last longer, according to the brand.

The second layer is made up of essential oils and fine fragrance notes. To activate the formula and experience its skin-benefiting, scent-boosting effects, you simply shake the bottle and spray it directly onto your skin.

According to a post on the brand's Instagram page, 'Ôrəbella has been in development for over five years. Hadid further elaborated in her interview with Vogue, sharing how, amidst her journey with Lyme disease and its subsequent side effects, she turned to practices that grounded her, such as crafting her own essential oils on her family farm.

This passion of hers tapped into a family tradition she wasn't initially privy to. She told Vogue, “My dad and I were playing backgammon by the fireplace when I discovered my uncle Mahmoud used to make essential oils. I had no idea.” It's serendipitous that the brand was already in development and that the name cleverly combines the English translation of Hadid's last name (iron) with her first name.

Rest assured, Hadid spared no effort when it comes to the line's geode-inspired product packaging, either. Drawing inspiration from her mother, Yolanda Hadid's perfume collection, 'Ôrəbella perfumes are a modern take on tradition. According to Vogue, even the smallest details have significance; for instance, the gold lids are "inspired by the raw gold of Arab culture and heritage,” says Hadid.

Hadid's first collection stars three fragrances: Window2Soul, Blooming Fire, and Salted Muse. The latter, as told to Vogue, is a tribute to her family, namely because of its fragrance notes: sea salt, pink pepper, and olive oil. “Whether you are Palestinian or just Arab, our families put olive oil on everything," she told the magazine. "That was, for me, something I could put in that was special and an ode to my heritage.”

COMING SOON - $100

'Ôrəbella will be available for purchase starting Thursday, May 2 on Orebella.com. They will also be released on Ulta.com starting Friday, May 10th and hit all Ulta Beauty stores nationwide on May 12. Shoppers can choose from three sizes of each fragrance: 10mL parfums for $35, 50mL parfums for $72 and 100mL parfums for $100.
