But, this week, the actress went back to her 90s-inspired roots with the debut of her chic blonde 'do.
Over the past couple of weeks, Jolie has been teasing her entrance into the fashion world with her line Atelier Jolie, but the new line wasn't the only shocking news within the announcement photos for her sustainable, customizable fashion label. Sporting a classic, black strapless dress, Jolie is also seen rocking gorgeous blonde balayage while looking through samples for the new brand. Perfectly blended, the actress' new hair looks almost natural despite the stark difference from her traditionally brunette mane.
Jolie's new style consists of a darker root, with blonde highlights getting more and more prevalent towards her ends, making it a classic balayage. The look "got its name from sweeping strokes, or lightly freehand painting highlights," celebrity colorist Rita Hazan previously told NewBeauty. Jolie's new blonde balayage marks the first time the star has gone lighter than brunette since the '90s and also puts her amongst the ranks of tons of other A-listers taking to this "honey gold," soft blonde look for summer.
