The theme was inspired by the many incredible and influential Black men throughout fashion history, illuminating the dandyism of the past. The 2025 Met Gala features the first all-Black male co-chair list, with Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Pharrell Williams and honorary chair LeBron James.
The response to the theme has been very positive. Fashion fans are excited and ready to see what designers and makeup artists come up with.
