The multi-talented Pharrell Williams seems to have his hands in every industry, yet everything that he creates is still extremely detail-oriented. Williams’ brand Humanrace released a skin-care line last year which featured a Rice Powder Cleanser, Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator and Humidifying Cream, all of which have received rave reviews. Now, with the same ethos in mind, Humanrace is moving into body care.
On November 22, Williams is launching Humanrace Bodycare with soap-free body bars that cleanse and exfoliate your body the way skin-care products do your face. The launch includes a Reenergizing Whiteclay Body Bar ($16) and an Energy Channeling Charcoal Body Bar ($18). Alongside the bars, Humanrace will also be selling a chic Ceramic Body Bar Dish ($75).
Elena Jones, MD, chief dermatologist of Humanrace and long-time friend of Williams', said in a statement, “your body is still your skin, it needs a routine and to be cared for.” The Whiteclay Bar, which features kaolin clay, snow mushroom extract, shea butter and jojoba seed oil, cleanses and hydrates the skin. The Charcoal Bar smooths and refines your skin’s texture with charcoal powder, rice powder, jojoba seed oil and shea butter.
“We’ve spent the last year educating people how to take care of their skin and adhere to a routine, but we believe that the routine doesn’t stop with your face, you need to care for your body too. Your body deserves its own time,” said Williams.
