Ulta’s rewards-program revamp is here, and if you’re full-blown beauty obsessed, it was worth the wait.
To become a member of the new Diamond Rewards Program, you’ll have to spend at least $1,200 a year in-store. Yes, spending more than a grand on makeup every calendar year can sound crazy, but unlike department stores or similar beauty retailers, Ulta also doubles as a drugstore of sorts—everyday essentials like deodorant and cotton pads are always stocked—so be sure to buy those here to help bank your points.

Once you hit the $1,200 for the year, you’ll earn 1.5 points per dollar spent (the Platinum level only lets you learn 1.25 points), plus free shipping with purchases that ring in over $25. A sweet surprise of a $25 gift card to spend on in-store beauty services like blowouts or nail services will also appear in your mailbox every year. Even more, according to PopSugar, Diamond Rewards members are also on track to receive free gifts and be put on the guest list for special events. And don’t forget, you’ll also receive all of the perks that come with the Platinum membership (which requires a minimum of $450 spent per year): a $10 birthday coupon, double the points in your birthday month and a free birthday gift.

If savings are at the top of your list of New Year’s resolutions (why wouldn’t they be?), we come bearing good news: Ulta’s already-great Rewards Program is getting an upgrade come 2018.
As disclosed on TrendMood, you can now earn points even faster in their rewards program where each point earned can be converted into cash rewards that can be spent on anything in the store (meaning big beauty savings).

Until now, the highest level in the Program has been Platinum, which can be reached by spending $450 in one year. Now, the Diamond level replaces the top spot, offering the ability to earn points 50 percent faster (you’ll earn one and a half points instead of one), free shipping on orders more than $25 on Ulta.com, and a $25 reward card for booking any beauty service for a full year.
