Simon Cowell is getting real on his unrecognizable appearance in a recent interview with The Sun.
"There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far," the America's Got Talent judge tells The Sun after one too many bouts of facial fillers and Botox Cosmetic. "I saw a picture of me from 'before' the other day and didn't recognize it as me."
In the interview, Cowell added that he "looked like something out of a horror film." It got to the point where his eight-year-old son, Eric, was getting scared. Explaining that his son's reaction was an “Aha!” moment, Cowell says, "Eric was in hysterics...Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero."
In 2018, Cowell admitted to undergoing a nonsurgical "sewing bioplastic-infused thread” facelift. “There’s lots of things you can do now. You don’t just have to stuff your face with filler and Botox. It hurts like hell, but it gets rid of sun damage and unplugs all the crap,” he explained in an interview.
For Cowell, looking young is now all about what he's putting inside his body. "For me now, a lot of it comes down to healthy eating and drinking tons of water," he says. With a son and an entire career ahead of him, Cowell is making his health and wellness his top priority.
