Our Favorite Beauty Looks at the 2025 Met Gala
Zoe Saldaña
Fresh out of awards season where she was praised for her role in Emilia Perez and won the Oscar for it, actress Zoe Saldana looks cool and radiant with a chic bob, blunt bangs and dewy cheekbones.
Celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak says Saldaña’s 1920’s dandy bob was inspired by “the tapered, sleek, tailored lines and exaggerated shapes found in signature dandy fashion.” She prepped the actress’s hair by adding RŌZ Santa Lucia Styling Oil on damp hair to give it a smooth glide and keep hair lightweight with movement. After blowdrying the hair with the Olivia Garden SuperHP Hair Dryer and Ceramic + Ion Speed XL Round Brush to make it sleek and smooth, Roszak created a center part and applied two pea-size dollops of the new RŌZ Evergreen Style Cream through roots to ends to define and smooth.
Celebrity makeup artist Vera Steimberg used Hourglass products for the makeup look. “We paired [her Thom Browne gown] with a statement eye, powerful—symbolizing resilience and self-expression. Skin is fresh and luminous—we used the Veil Hydrating Skin Tint [in shades 12 and 14] to achieve this look. It’s a canvas of confidence that radiates from within, and softer lips. The overall silhouette is a nod to defiant elegance: sharp, artful and unmistakably original.”
Sydney Sweeney
Celebrity makeup artist Melissa Hernandez wanted Sweeney’s makeup to embody the essence of Kim Novak’s iconic 1950s glam and used Armani beauty products to achieve the look. “We went for a signature cat-eye and added jet black liner [Smooth Silk Eyeliner in shade 4] along the lower lash line to give it a modern edge. Think Old-Hollywood beauty reimagined through a contemporary lens.”
Hernandez also used Eye Tint Long-Lasting Liquid Eyeshadow in 99M and the brand’s new Vertigo Lift Mascara.
Teyana Taylor
The singer-songwriter and jack of all trades turned heads in a custom Marc Jacobs ensemble, dramatic lashes and a juicy nude lip.
Celebrity makeup artist YEIKA used Bobbi Brown Cosmetics products, including Smokey Eye Mascara in Black, Weightless Skin Foundation SPF 15 in Neutral Cool Honey and Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Chocolate Truffle. On her lips, YEIKA applied Lip Liner in Chocolate and Extra Plump Lip Serum in Bare Cocoa.
Sadie Sink
The Stranger Things actress stunned on the blue carpet in a custom, black lace Prada dress, but what really caught our eye was the monochromatic, light pink wash of color on her cheeks and lips that complemented her blue eyes. The tousled updo is the perfect pick to show off her youthful cheekbones, too.
“For Sadie’s Met Gala look, the goal was to enhance her natural beauty,” says celebrity makeup artist Nina Park, who used Armani beauty products. “We kept the makeup soft and modern with defined eyes, fresh glowing skin, a rosy flush on the cheeks [Luminous Silk Glow Blush in shade 50 and Fluid Sheer Glow Enhancer in shade 7], and a ‘your lips but better’ shade [Lip Power Lipstick in shade 108]. The overall feel was romantic and timeless to complement the elegance of her black lace gown.”
Joey King
The actress’s beauty look exudes cool and confident. We’re loving the bold, unexpected smoky eye using shades of pink eyeshadow and smudged eyeliner. Paired with a pink lip, groomed brows and retro waves, it’s giving fashion-forward and fun.
“For the hair, I wanted something that felt rich, cinematic and slightly surreal,” says celebrity hairstylist Rena Calhoun, who applied Maria Nila Styling Mousse on clean, damp hair before drying it. “With the Bur Bur Ludmila Brush, we leaned into classic brushed-out waves, sculpted just enough to feel intentional without being stiff to balance the boldness of the suit.”
