Beyoncé

Mic drop! The music icon’s skeleton-inspired Olivier Rousteing gown and statement crystal headpiece stole the show tonight. For her makeup, Beyoncé paired a pink cheek with glossy lips, shimmery lids and bold, fluttery lashes. Her hair was worn in her long, perfectly defined waves with sculptural, face-framing pieces.

Sabrina Carpenter

The pint-size pop star leaned into her "Sabrinawood" vintage Hollywood aesthetic, wearing a custom Dior tulle gown by Jonathan Anderson and swapping her signature voluminous waves for a beaded headpiece.

“With Sabrina's Dior look being made from film, there was a cinematic and archival theme to her look,” says celebrity hairstylist Evanie Frausto. “Sabrina has such a refined, timeless sensibility. I wanted the hair to feel like a modern interpretation of Old Hollywood—hair that felt intentional and polished from every angle going up the Met Gala steps.” Frausto used Redken products to style, including the medium-control Spray Wax ($29) for definition.

Suki Waterhouse

Stunning in a Michael Kors gown inspired by terracotta statues, the British actress and singer showed off her toned silhouette, flirty shag bangs and rosy makeup.

“Suki’s look was inspired by the timeless beauty of a Greek sculpture,” says makeup artist Cédric Jolivet, who used NuFACE to prep and tone her skin. “To achieve an ethereal yet refined, contoured finish, I focused on skin that felt naturally sculpted, lifted and luminous, creating the perfect base for her signature glow.” For her makeup, Jolivet used a full face of Armani beauty products, including “Lip Power Lipstick in shade 107 for a soft, sensual lip.”

Sarah Pidgeon

For her Met Gala debut, the Love Story actress turned heads in a chartreuse Loewe gown and beachy waves by celebrity hairstylist Christian Wood. “For this year’s inspo, I looked back at Met carpets from the ’90s and early 2000s,” he says. “I loved how those eras felt effortless, timeless and simple. As soon as I saw her gorgeous Loewe look, I knew shiny, undone waves were the way to go.” Wood used a variety of Kenra Professional products, including the fan-favorite Platinum Dry Texture Spray ($25).

For the actress’s glam, celebrity makeup artist Emily Cheng was inspired to create a look of soft-edged radiance. “I added washes of monochromatic tones that melted into the skin to create a sophisticated and polished aesthetic,” she says. “I wanted the subdued, harmonious washes of color and luminous skin to be a soft anchor to the vibrancy of the jewel-toned look. To achieve this, she applied a full routine of CHANEL skin care, including Sublimage Le Baume ($535) for serious hydration.

Hailey Bieber

A striking example of effortless beauty, the Rhode founder swapped her go-to LBD for this superhero-esque gown from Saint Laurent. Her signature slicked-back hair and lit-from-within skin completed the look.

“Hailey’s look is all about balance: it’s structured, but still soft,” says celebrity hairstylist Irinel de Leon, who used OUAI products. “The dress has a strong silhouette and presence, so we wanted the hair to feel clean, pulled back and really intentional. With the Met theme, it’s about refinement—letting the shape, shine and overall mood speak without overcomplicating it.” For added shine, she applied OUAI Hair Oil ($32) throughout.

Margot Robbie

Looking like a beautiful gold statue in a CHANEL lamé gown, the Wuthering Heights actress wore blunt bangs and a makeup look rooted in the early 2000s. “That era was all about warmth on the skin—a glowing bronze with pops of gold and champagne catching the light in just the right places,” says celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff. “There was always this sense of effortless polish; nothing felt overworked.”

Dubroff added a pop of champagne shimmer “to really bring the eyes into focus while keeping everything else soft and natural. I applied CHANEL Ombre Première Laque Longwear Liquid Eyeshadow in Rayon onto the center of the lid, a touch in the inner corner and then gently diffused it so it melted into the rest of the eye.”
