Page Six is reporting that Mariah Carey recently underwent weight-loss surgery after being body-shamed by online commenters regarding her size.
“Page Six has exclusively learned that the diva underwent gastric sleeve surgery last month, performed by a top surgeon in Beverly Hills, CA, after her weight reportedly skyrocketed.”

While the songstress’ rep declined to comment, Page Six’s source shared that “Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but this summer, as her Caesars Palace residency came to a close, and then she went on tour with Lionel Richie, she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers.”
If the reports are accurate, Page Six pegs the surgery as happening about a month ago.

A source told Entertainment Tonight that Carey has lost 25 pounds since her surgery. The songstress posed a new photo showing off her figure, captioning it “Feeling better and back at work! Looking forward to seeing you today at the World AIDS Day 2017 concert and then starting the Christmas tour festivities!”
