Laura Geller’s iconic Spackle Primer is getting the SPF treatment. On May 19, the brand officially launched its Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($38)—and it’s currently available for 40 percent off.
The Spackle SPF Primer is a smooth, multi-tasking formula that can be used to minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and other imperfections before you apply complexion makeup. It’s a chemical-mineral hybrid that includes other ingredients like azelaic acid (which can exfoliate and improve skin texture), witch hazel (which can also reduce the size of pores), hyaluronic acid and squalane. Even though most primers are marketed as products to be worn underneath makeup, this one can also be worn alone with minimal to no product to give your skin a healthy, protected glow.
To launch the Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30, Laura Geller teamed up with actress and Cancer Schmancer Movement founder Fran Drescher, who’s been a longtime advocate for sun protection.
“Sometimes when you get these makeup products with an SPF, they don’t really have the same consistency,” Drescher said in an interview with People. “It may get shiny or it just doesn’t lay on the skin in the same way. So I’ve always objected to that, every time I tried it. I’m not happy, so I don’t buy it.”
On top of being reef-friendly and water-resistant, SPF primer is also specially formulated for mature skin. Shop the new product below.
