Fake freckles have been one of TikTok’s most enduring beauty trends, but Fazit Beauty is taking the fad to the next level. The brand, founded in 2022, skyrocketed in popularity in 2024 when Taylor Swift was spotted wearing its Freckle Makeup Patches ($16) at a Chiefs vs. Saints game. But she’s not the only A-lister embracing the trend; Kacey Musgraves just stepped out in them (and looked fabulous, obviously), making a strong case for working them into our makeup routines for a special occasion.
The 36-year-old singer-songwriter shared a photo of herself wearing Fazit’s faux freckles to her Instagram Story, and the eagle-eyed brand didn’t miss a beat. The team quickly reposted the pic to its Instagram grid, captioning it, “Did we spot @spaceykacey wearing our Snowflake Speckles? 👀❄️✨🤍 This feels magical.” The set in question was, as mentioned, its Snowflake Speckles ($18), the brand’s latest limited-edition launch featuring a frosty, holographic palette perfect for winter. She teamed them with a casual outfit featuring a baseball cap, an oversized pink scarf and a denim jacket.
Worth noting: Swift and Musgraves aren’t the only celebs to embrace the look. Lisa from Blackpink and Rita Ora are also among Fazit’s growing fan base, along with countless beauty enthusiasts, including the NewBeauty staff. Beyond their ethereal, eye-catching effect, the application process is shockingly simple despite how intricate they appear. To use Snowflake Speckles (or any of the brand’s freckle patches), just peel off the backing, press the sticky side onto your skin, dampen a towel, and hold it over the patch for about 60 seconds before peeling it away. And just like that, you’ve got effortless, dreamy faux freckles à la the stars.
