Jamie Lee Curtis didn’t attend the 97th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2, but that didn’t mean she passed on a little self-care. In a recent Instagram post, the actress revealed that between traveling and working on Scarpetta—Amazon Prime’s upcoming series based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling crime novels—she made time to refresh her “tired” skin.
“While the rest of my friends and colleagues were plumping and prepping and glamming and gathering at the celebration of the art of cinema, I was on an airplane again back to work doing what I love to do,” she captioned the post. “@vhskin gave me one of these full face moisturizer, which I have kept in my refrigerator in my apartment at the gorgeous @hermitagehotel and I decided to apply it to my tired, traveling face and see if it helps me at all.”
She concluded the post, writing, “Off to finish my new favorite work, which I can’t wait for the world to see with my sister @nicolekidman and daughter @arianadebose on SCARPETTA!”
Unfortunately, Curtis has yet to share whether the face mask worked its magic nor reveal the exact one she used. Nonetheless, our best guess is that she used the brand’s VH Method Hydra-Calm Mask ($15). It’s formulated to help plump and firm the skin using hyaluronic acid, collagen and soothing nutrients.
Naturally, fans flooded the comments section of Curtis’s post to applaud her refreshingly real take on aging. “Thank you for redefining female aging in real time! What you are doing, with fierceness and fervor, matters!!!” one person wrote. Another added, “You are a true example of aging gracefully.” A third summed it up perfectly: “We need an after pic.”
