In celebration of two new additions to her Goop skin-care lineup, Gwyneth Paltrow teamed up with her mom, Blythe Danner, and daughter, Apple Martin, to talk all things beauty and aging Sunday morning.

In an exclusive video shared with People, the three gathered in their backyard to test the new GOOPGENES All-in-One Nourishing Face and Eye Creams, which launched today, while Martin filmed the conversation.

“At what age did you guys feel the prettiest?” Martin asked.

“I felt really great in my late thirties,” the 47-year-old Paltrow answered. “I think aging is hard. It’s definitely a process, and I think when you see your face start to change, you don’t necessarily feel your most beautiful externally. But the irony is it’s that time in your life when you actually really like yourself and love yourself. So you sort of internally feel really beautiful.”

The 77-year-old Danner followed up with: “I think I felt prettiest at 50. Maybe because of what you just said!”

The two clean formulas focus on epigenetics—”the science of how the environment can affect the way your genes are expressed.”

“But your skin does change as you age,” Paltrow shared. “What we’re learning is that epigenetics—how your lifestyle interacts with your genetics—has a lot to do with those changes. Exercise, sun exposure, diet, smart supplementation, sleep, and all sorts of other factors play a role. The idea behind the cream is to optimize as much as we can.”
