We may be past the official stopping point for acceptable MET Gala coverage, but there’s one next-level manicure that deserves to break the rules.
As seen on Lauren Sanchez and created by celeb nail magician Tom Bachik, the pink “glass slipper” mani is, in a word, sensational—and not completely impossible to replicate.
Merging elegance with floral accents, as Bachik shared with us, his MET creation worked “in synergy with the stained glass perfection of Sanchez’s custom Oscar de la Renta gown.”
“We wanted the nails to be very feminine and elegant like the soft light diffusion of sheer iridescent glass,” shares Bachik. “I used my Tweezerman tools to create the perfect canvas to create our #METGala2024 look. Then, I used Aquaphor to hydrate and restore the hand and cuticles.”
After the prep steps, Bachik applied the Amazon-available Mia Secret Nail Extension Almond Gel Tips ($14), followed by the brand’s Metallic Flakes in CH-20 ($15). “Then, I painted Mia Secret’s UV-LED gel paint in Snow White ($8.50) to create a mini white rose on her little finger to add a little bit of extra personality. Lastly, I topped it off with Glass Finish Gel ($12) by Mia Secret.”
