If there’s one word we can all agree suits Drew Barrymore more than anyone else, it’s honest. Whether she’s creating a safe space for her guests to be their authentic selves or sharing candid stories about her tumultuous upbringing, Barrymore is a leader in all things living your truth.

While we’re used to seeing the actress-turned-talk-show host on the interviewer side of things, she recently sat down with Oprah Daily as an interviewee to talk all things menopause, and revealed to the outlet that she only uses these three skin-care products on account of her newly sensitive skin.

Barrymore’s 3-Product Skin-Care Routine

After sharing her recent “aha” menopause moments—she learned lately that she’s still in perimenopause, as she hasn’t yet cleared the 12-month cycle without menstruation—and giving insight into her current mantra when it comes to dating (Whenever I ask myself if there’s something missing in my life, I’m like, ‘No, there isn’t.'”), Barrymore got into all things menopause-related skin care, explaining to Oprah Daily that she has “eradicated almost all skincare products.”

While eradicating your skin-care routine may sound crazy to some, Barrymore’s rationale is one that resonates with many menopausal women. “Everything is irritating,” she says, explaining that her maturing skin just can’t handle much anymore. “It’s really tough because I used to go to the store and try all these different products, and I used to love spending weekends giving myself at-home treatments. I can’t do any of that anymore.”

In terms of what she is using, though, the star is keeping it simple. “I’m down to a very minimal regimen of bar soap, my Garnier Micellar Water ($12) to remove makeup and vitamin E oil,” she says.
