Beauty Expert 2020

Drs. Sapna Palep & Rita Linkner

73 Spring Street, Suite 303, New York, NY, 10012
A good aesthetic plan takes aging into account. You need to look good now, in a year, in five years and beyond.

Built on their shared passion for beautiful, healthy, glowing skin, the dermatologists at Spring Street Dermatology are most proud of the word-of-mouth referrals that have made them a success. “The thing that makes us most proud is, that from our opening in 2010 until now, we have grown our practice organically,” says founder and medical director Dr. Sapna Palep. “There is no greater compliment than the referral of friends and family.” Working as a team, Dr. Rita Linkner and Dr. Sapna Palep ensure that their patients have all of their aesthetic concerns addressed. “We take our cosmetic consultations very seriously,” says Dr. Linkner. “We aim to create a customizable yearlong treatment plan that can include anything from lasers and injectables to skin care.” Knowing a patient’s intentions early on helps them create a blueprint that leads to beautiful, healthy results that keep their patients glowing for years to come.

A Minute With

  1. What are your most requested procedures?
Botox, fillers, acne scar treatment, and laser correction of brown spots or redness
  2. What new services are you excited to offer?
    Radio-frequency microneedling
  3. What is your ultimate skin-care advice?
Use retinol—the goal should be to find one that can be used seven days a week, 365 days a year. This is where anti-acne hits anti-aging
  4. How do you manage patient expectations?
We make sure people understand what each procedure does and that there is no magic way to fix every issue at once. We also ensure to explain that even injectables can have minor side effects. Setting realistic expectations means we can always over-deliver
  5. Why do you employ a less-is-more philosophy?
For patients, less is always more. The trend right now for millennial clients is using a small amount of toxin and half syringes of filler.
  6. What is the biggest skin-care trend of the year?
Pan-facial neurotoxin, in which we utilize toxin beyond the upper third of the face to prevent dynamic lines that lie on the lower two-thirds of the face
  7. What is your approach toward aesthetics?
Our approach is to avoid anything cookie-cutter and focus on the most high-yield treatments that are personalized for every patient
  8. What sets your practice apart?
We are all professional moms and can relate to our patients who are also experiencing the same things we are. We pride ourselves on keeping to an on-time schedule. Frequent, noninvasive, low-intensity procedures with little to no downtime that allow our clients to get back to their work and families are in demand, and that’s exactly what we deliver. Executing that strategy is what sets us apart
  9. What are you best known for?
We are best known for helping people with acne and acne scarring achieve clear skin
  10. Three words that best describe us
    Honest, energetic, meticulous
  11. The most common medical myth we’ve heard
The right skin cream can keep your skin looking young over sun protection
