About My Practice

What nonsurgical advancements have you added?: It’s been busy at the Bengtson Center! We’ve recently added Profound RF, a new radio-frequency treatment that provides patients with long-lasting facial wrinkle reduction and collagen building. In addition, we’ve advanced our patients results and experience by bringing in the latest nonsurgical fat freezing device, CoolSculpting® Elite. Patients are also experiencing amazing results with our recently added advanced injectables, the cellulite treatment Qwo® and a new collection of RHA® fillers by Revance Aesthetics.
What plastic surgery advancements are on the horizon?: Instead of MRI, we use high-resolution ultrasound now to look at breast implants which is a valuable tool for patients. I’ve performed the initial landmark research in this area that was published in a recent issue of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. It has transformed the patient experience and confidence with their breast implants and how we follow up with and treat our breast augmentation and reconstruction patients.
How do you enhance the patient experience?: We’ve created a high-quality center that strives for excellence, providing our patients individualized service using our comprehensive offering of treatments. Nestled on the first floor of New Vista, the Bengtson Center has a boutique hotel or spa feel with beautiful surroundings—complete with a men’s lounge, fireplace, warm reading nook and skin-care bar.
How would you describe your staff?: My team is the most dynamic, engaging, joy-filled staff I have ever worked with. They are extremely caring and focused on the patients and their experiences. We always say they may not remember your name but they will remember how you made them feel!
In which procedures are you seeing an influx?: We’re performing more breast augmentations and breast revisions with SERI® Surgical Scaffold. In addition, more minimally invasive techniques in conjunction with facial fillers are on the rise.
How would you describe your office?: The office was designed by a residential builder and creative design team to establish a space that is inviting and warm, complete with a reading nook and fireplace. Patients are greeted by a concierge, as if they’re entering a hotel or a cozy residence, and directed to our skin-care, injectable or plastic surgery center. It’s our utmost goal to make our patients feel comfortable, welcomed and relaxed.
How do you help patients choose a treatment?: We offer our patients a problem/ concern-focused approach: We inform them of the options and the potential outcomes matching with their expectations and lifestyle to help them choose the best procedure for their needs and concerns.
