A Minute With
What are your most requested procedures?
The procedures I’m most known for are rhinoplasty and facelift.
Why do you employ a less-is-more philosophy?
I learned from the great architectural master, Mies van der Rohe, that simplicity where form follows function will yield natural-looking, long-lasting results. There should be no wasted motion in doing plastic surgery; each step must be done with the greatest precision and least trauma possible.
Three words that best describe me
Caring, compulsive, calm
What sets my practice apart
I am most proud of the longevity and ingenuity of our practice. I have treated three generations in the Los Gatos, Campbell and Silicon Valley communities since 1982. My relationship with my patients has always been as a collaborative member of a team, making myself easily accessible about their care.
How does your staff enhance your practice?
My staff extends my reach. Our nurse injectors are skilled at safely delivering neuromodulators as well as a wide variety of fillers. Our nurses beautify skin with laser resurfacing treatments and our aesthetician provides CoolSculpting®, facial peels.
How are you helping to advance the field at large?
I am an educator. I present regularly at the annual meeting of the Rhinoplasty Society and have been a course instructor for rhinoplasty, facelift and breast augmentation for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
What service are you excited to offer?
We’re very excited about miraDry®, a laser designed to eliminate the sweat, odor and discoloration caused by excessive sweating. Just one or two quick sessions does the trick and eliminates the unpleasant side effects of hyperhidrosis for good.
My dream innovation
A way to turn bone and cartilage temporarily into a semisoft state so we could mold and shape a nose without surgical intervention.
What accolades mean the most to you?
Receiving my MD; I am a physician first and foremost. I was born to do this.
