Can we as a collective society ever remember a day where we weren't in awe of Demi Moore? At 61 years young and with a Hollywood career spanning four decades, Moore is as stunning as she was the first time I saw her in the 80's classic St. Elmo's Fire. (Which, FYI, I was way too young to be watching at the time!) Moore's timeless beauty hasn't waned and was on full display at last night's Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Walking the red carpet with her daughters Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 30, she never looked more confident and statuesque. Her long brunette locks were simple, sleek and straight, leaving the dramatics to her makeup. Sil Bruinsma, Moore's makeup artist, shared "We chose to go for gorgeous, glowing skin, a soft smokey eye, rosy cheeks and a velvety, rose lip to complement the color of Demi’s stunning Versace gown." To achieve the flawless look Bruinsma only had to use one brand: Merit Beauty.
Merit Beauty is so popular among celebrities (and their makeup artists) I once wrote an article to try and keep track of them all. With Moore, the brand's impressive celebrity roster keeps growing. To start, Bruinsma used The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Stick ($38) in Bisque and The Bronze Balm ($30) in Quince. For lit-from-within cheek color and a light-reflecting glow, Bruinsma grabbed the beloved Flush Balm ($30) in Cheeky and Rouge, and Day Glow Highlighting Balm ($32) in Cava. Moore's simple "soft, smokey eye" was thanks to a mix of Solo Shadow ($26) shades Brun and Studio, and Clean Lash Mascara ($26) in Perfect Black. On her lips, Bruinsma used Merit's Signature Lip ($26) in Baby, a neutral pink with a satin finish.
