Believe it or not, in a whirlwind of glamorous gowns, emotional speeches and to-die-for beauty looks, the end of the 2024 awards season is upon us. This past Sunday, the coveted awards season came to a close with the biggest night in Hollywood: The Oscars.

As beauty lovers, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the beauty trends on the red carpets throughout the season, from the SAG Awards to the delayed 2023 Emmys, The Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards and The Oscars. While we’ve been rounding up the best beauty looks like each night, we started thinking: what are the most common makeup brands turning out looks on our favorite A-listers? So, we put our analytical glasses on, did some cross referencing, and discovered that these six makeup brands make up the most common beauty brands on award show red carpets.

Chanel Beauty

Chanel Beauty has gone viral across social media, largely for their universally flattering lip products, and as it turns out, the brand is equally as popular amongst celebrities on the red carpet. Between the 2024 SAG Awards, The Emmys and The Golden Globes, Chanel Beauty was seen on the faces of celebrities like Issa Rae, Jennifer Aniston, Ayo Edebiri and Margot Robbie, solidifying the brand’s position as one of the most popular makeup brands on the red carpet. Most recently, Oscar-nominated star of Killers of the Flower Moon, Lily Gladstone wore a full face of Chanel Beauty, as did Gabrielle Union, and Lupita Nyong’o wore a blend of Chanel products and wearable glitter for that show-stopping shimmer.

Dior Beauty

Dior Beauty is another social media sensation as of late—I mean, who doesn’t know about the iconic lip oil—and celebrities across all ages and walks of life were seen rocking the brand on the red carpet, from Ali Wong to Joey King, Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Chastain, Rosamund Pike, Jenna Ortega, Natalie Portman and more.

Pat McGrath Labs

Pat McGrath Labs all but broke the internet with her runway beauty look at the Maison Margiela couture show, bringing the brands name to the front of fans’ minds. Dame Pat McGrath’s products have long been staples across celebrity red carpet beauty looks, too, with icons like Miley Cyrus and Cardi B showing up to star-studded award shows in full faces of Pat McGrath glam.

Charlotte Tilbury

Whether you’re subscribed to all things Alix Earle or not, Charlotte Tilbury has become “that girl” when it comes to influencer-loved makeup brands, from their iconic Pillow Talk lip products to their tried-and-true contour wands. And, as this year’s awards circuit proved, Tilbury has the red-carpet seal of approval too, with celebrities like Emma Stone, Jessica Chastain, Doja Cat, Lana Del Ray and Kacey Musgraves rocking the British beauty brand on the carpet. At The Oscars this past Sunday, Emily Blunt paired her floating-shoulder gown with Charlotte lipstick.

L’Oréal Paris

A drugstore beauty staple, L’Oréal Paris is one of the most accessible and efficacious makeup brands on the market, and the brand has made waves on the award show circuit too. This year, beloved celebrities like Aubrey Plaza, Elle Fanning and Taraji P. Henson showing up to the industry’s biggest nights in L’Oréal products. At Sunday’s 2024 Oscars, Eva Longoria was spotted wearing L’Oréal Paris skin prep to emphasize her radiant complexion.

Lancôme

Lancôme is the epitome of elegant, luxurious beauty, from the packaging to the quality of product and, of course, the celebrity clientele that choose to sport the brand on the red carpet. Stars of Killers of the Flower Moon and The Holdovers, Lily Gladstone and Da’Vine Joy Randolph are just two of the celebs who showed up and showed out in Lancôme glam this year.
