Often, I find it hard to imagine being a celebrity and having my life examined through a microscope at every turn. Even more so, I cower at the thought of having to go through the already drastic changes that come with pregnancy while on a public platform. While you may think that celebs like Cardi B don’t get bogged down in the internet hate, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper recently addressed rumors about bleaching her skin. Cardi B got candid about the pregnancy struggles that have impacted her health and skin. Hear what she has to say about her experience with skin changes during pregnancy.

Cardi B Shuts Down Rumors Related to Skin Changes

Earlier this week, Cardi posted an image of her friend caressing her pregnant tummy to the social media platform X, but fans had more to say about her “light” skin tone than the heartwarming photo. While the rapper’s complexion does look more pale than we are used to, some followers took it upon themselves to insinuate that Cardi has been bleaching her skin, to which she immediately shut down the outrageous allegations. She opened up about what’s really happening behind the scenes and about her skin changes during pregnancy.

“Bleaching while pregnant? Why must y’all be so dumb?” Cardi clapped back to the haters, “Actually NO! I’m pregnant, I’m slightly anemic, this baby suckin all the energy off my body to the point I’m pale, eyes sunken, veins green ASF, can’t tan under the sun cause I get hot super fast and dizzy.”

Before attacking a pregnant woman online, people should consider skin changes during pregnancy that affect so many women.
