Let’s Just Get to the Point:
Exfoliating has always come with an unspoken rule of moderation: don’t do it every day—maybe once a week?—and be sure to baby your skin afterwards to avoid any exacerbated skin issues. But all of the rules are about to change with Dr. Murad’s latest innovation: the Replenishing Multi-Acid Peel ($65), a glycolic, lactic and salicylic–acid infused peel that’s intended to be used daily for all of the wrinkle-reducing, glow-boosting benefits with none of the irritation.

If You Want to Know More:
“When you’re younger, your skin is naturally more moist and there’s really no need to maintain those moisture levels because the skin is able to naturally exfoliate itself,” explains Dr. Murad on the inspiration behind his latest potion. “This new product pairs glycolic acids with other acids to help get skin back to what it used to be by moisturizing and exfoliating at the same time.” The result: smoother—read: less-apparent wrinkles—and brighter skin fast.

Aside from the AHAs, BHAs and two lipids (which is to thank for the separate phases), one of the main ingredients in the bottle is adaptogenic holy basil—it’s actually what gives the product its rich green color, not artificial colors!—which Dr. Murad says is great for shielding against free-radical damage, soothing skin and helping getting skin’s bounce back. Even better, the bi-phase peel has shown to accelerate cell renewal by 33 percent in one week, which softens the appearance of wrinkles, as seen in this patient below.

Celebrity aesthetician Gina Mari is also a huge fan of the product. “We want the glowy results of a chemical peel or laser, but we don’t want to deal with the downtime. That’s why this product is so great—it allows for daily exfoliation without any drying or flaking side effects.” Using it is simple: “I prefer to use it at night in place of a toner,” explains Mari. “Give it a good shake to mix the two phases and take it down your neck and chest after applying all over the face,” she instructs. Her tip: “I use it like an aftershave and apply it with my hands—so no cotton pad—and whatever is left on my hands, I put on my knees and elbows.” Voila: the easiest solution to baby-soft skin from head to toe.
