In the latest edition of “breath-of-fresh air” beauty reviews, Bethenny Frankel is tackling the topic of long-lasting makeup products, and this new batch has a little bit of a personal comparison.
“Some products have personalities like me—they come on really strong, but you gotta give them a chance,” she shared on social media. “These are products that I was initially shocked by that I came to really like.”
First up: e.l.f. 16hr Camo Concealer ($7), which Frankel explained works well as a contour if you use a darker shade on a skin tone like hers—and you only need the tiniest of amount. “You’ll take this one into the box with you into the ground it will last so long…this one shocked me…that one dot could feed your whole family. It’s a nice situation.”
Next in line: Rare Beauty Blush ($20), courtesy of Selena Gomez. “This one will last you your whole lifetime,” Frankel says. “One little dot and you make it into something. It’s kind of fun…it’s satisfying; I’m into it.”
Making the lip product list: Stila Fever Lip Vinyl ($12), a high-impact, long-wearing lacquer to which Frankel offered this sage advice to keep in mind when applying: “This is a lip that freaked me out. At first, it’s shocking, but it’s really pretty. You just have to chill out.”
And closing out the commentary, some strong positive feedback for Physicians Formula Organic Wear Dewy Blush Elixir ($14), a very affordable and hydrating cheek enhancer. “Same story here. It comes out strong…I was ready to get rid of it, but it’s beautiful. You just have to have fun and play with it!
