Launch List: The Best Body Care Launching in May featured image

Hundreds of products come across our desks every month, but not all of them deliver on their claims or live up to the hype. (Not everything that goes viral on TikTok is a miracle worker.) This is our exclusive curation of the best-in-class body-care products receiving rave reviews from our team and hitting shelves right now.

1 / 10

EltaMD UV AOX Mist Broad Spectrum SPF 40 ($45)

We’ve been hearing great things from skin-care experts about this new launch from derm-favorite EltaMD. A fragrance-free mineral spray for both the face and body, the formula contains antioxidant-rich vitamins C and E to help reduce signs of aging as it shields the skin from UV rays with 14.5-percent zinc oxide.

Plus, it has a sheer finish and uses an air-powered system that allows it to be sprayed upside down for hard-to-reach areas. If you’ve tried to do this with another spray sunscreen before that doesn’t have this feature, you know how frustrating it can be!

2 / 10

OSEA Undaria Collagen Body Lotion ($48)

Our editors have been fans of OSEA’s Undaria collection for years, and this lotion is no exception. Perfect for summertime because it’s lightweight and absorbs instantly, the formula contains super moisturizing Undaria seaweed mixed with hydrating hyaluronic acid, firming peptides and turmeric for a bit of a skin-brightening boost.

And for all of you Undaria fans: Yes, it does contain the same energizing and refreshing citrusy scent as the rest of the products in this line. But for the first time ever in the brand’s history, it is also launching a fragrance-free version as well, which is often preferred by those with sensitive skin.

3 / 10

L’Occitane Almond Delightful Body Mist ($36)

Ah, the scent of L’Occitane’s Almond collection is enough to make me swoon (and crave some delicious pastries). This isn’t your average body mist that smells really good for five seconds and then disappears into thin air. This formula combines fragrance and body care into one, offering eight hours of hydrating skin benefits from sweet almond oil in addition to the sweet scent fans adore.

It’s also made with 95-percent naturally derived ingredients and safe to spray on clothes.

4 / 10

Love Wellness Comfy Cream ($15)

On a quest for a comfortable moisturizer for the vulva and bikini area after receiving tons of requests from the brand community, founder Lo Bosworth and her team created the perfect formula. Intended for those who find this area sensitive and prone to irritation from things like wearing tight jeans, sweaty workout gear, biking, hair removal and more, this silky cream is the soothing solution.

The nonsticky, fragrance-free blend of beeswax, mango seed butter, and oils from cranberry seeds and oat kernels is safe to use every day, and doesn’t contain any ingredients that are known to disrupt vaginal pH or microbial balance.

5 / 10

Vacation Baby Oil SPF 30 ($22)

Finally, a baby oil you should wear in the sun, says the brand about its biggest launch of the year. This skin-safe, modern take on the wildly popular ’90s trend of tanning with baby oil is going to be a big hit at the beach this summer.

To replicate that sexy, slick skin we remember so well, Vacation blended naturally derived oils—jojoba, safflower, sunflower and rose (no mineral oil)—with chemical sunscreen filters. It’s transparent on all skin tones, dermatologist-approved and boasts that nostalgic baby oil scent we know and love.

6 / 10

European Wax Center EWC TREAT Ingrown Hair Mist ($30)

We’ve been superfans of the brand’s Ingrown Hair Serum for years, and it’s won our NewBeauty Award more than once. Now, we can target stubborn ingrowns easier than ever with this mist, which also features 360-degree spray capabilities, so you can spray upside down and anywhere you need to reach.

Gynecologist- and dermatologist-tested for safety and efficacy, the formula exfoliates clogged pores to free ingrowns using lactic acid, glycolic acid and salicylic acid. But, it’s still gentle on the skin thanks to the addition of vitamin E and tea tree oil, which soothe irritation simultaneously. The mist is also great for body breakouts on the back, arms or anywhere else.

MyKirei by KAO Onsen Therapy Soothing Mineral Bath Soak ($15)

One of my favorite parts of visiting Japan a few years ago was bathing in an Onsen, a Japanese hot spring that truly allows you to soak up the country’s rich culture. This relaxing soak aims to recreate that experience with soothing steam and moisture, muscle tension relief and serious relaxation, complete with a Japanese Hinoki scent (a woody-citrus vibe that lets you feel one with nature).

It’s great before bed because it is deeply relaxing, but of course you can use it any time of day when you’re in need of an escape or rejuvenation. There are five bath soak tablets in each set, and they are 95-percent biodegradable and dye-free.

8 / 10

Dr. Barbara Sturm Anti-Aging Body Scrub ($110)

This sugar-based scrub is the real deal for smoothing rough, dry patches of skin and boosting micro-circulation for a radiant glow. The anti-aging component comes from the addition of CoQ10, vitamin E and purslane, which help protect the skin from oxidative stress that leads to collagen breakdown and wrinkles; vitamin F and sea fennel nurture the skin barrier; and a mix of nourishing oils keep skin moisturized.

“I am obsessed with this new all-time favorite,” says Dr. Sturm. “When you get it, stir it first [it comes with a spatula] because the oil will be separated from the brown sugar and the sea salt. It’s a combination of the most amazing ingredients that makes the skin so silky, so soft and so hydrated—you will never use anything else.”

9 / 10

Isle of Paradise Brilliantly Bright Body Moisturizer ($26)

The powerhouse trio of vitamin C, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid give this quick-absorbing body lotion a leg up when it comes to brightening, skin tone–evening benefits. Plus, it smells like a tropical vacation, with juicy, fruity notes of pineapple and grapefruit.

‘Whether you’re self-tanning or self-care showering, the bathroom is where you start and finish your day,” says brand founder Jules Von Hep. “Scrub away the past, rinse in the present and moisturize for your future. Feeling confident naked doesn’t come naturally to many of us, so we wanted to deliver formulas that not only deliver inner glow, but outer glow too.”

10 / 10

Glytone AHA+ Ultra Softening Foot Cream ($58)

If you have dry skin, callouses or rough patches on your feet, this efficacious cream is a must-have for sandal season and beyond. The fragrance-free formula contains 29.5 percent of the brand’s patented PFAV glycolic acid. (PFAV stands for Precision Free Acid Value and is the amount of unbuffered, bioavailable glycolic acid.) Essentially, this means the ingredient is more effective.

Other key ingredients include retexturizing urea and moisturizing squalane, which deliver noticeable results. Use the cream as a mask: Massage it onto dry feet and leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse (you can also use it on your elbows).
