Surprisingly, demand for lip filler—primarily by millennials—has not slowed down as a result of the global pandemic, and now there may be another reason more for young women to flock to their doctors’ offices: Arielle Charnas just revealed on Instagram that she’s had her lips done twice, and she loves the result.

In an Instagram Story “Beauty Q/A” Charnas did this morning, one follower posed the question, “Your lips! They look fuller (and great!). How often do you have to do it?” The Something Navy founder replied with a surprising admission to previously getting lip filler, which was incredibly refreshing to hear, as she has 1.3 million followers looking to her for beauty advice and inspiration.

“A lot of you ask me this question, and I felt ashamed to talk about it, but I’m not anymore because I don’t really care as much,” she says. “I actually did my lips two times, and it was right after I had Ruby, that year. I haven’t touched them since before my pregnancy with Esme because I don’t feel the need to anymore. I think that they’re really perfect right now. It was really scary, but I had super thin lips and it was something I always wanted to do. But after my pregnancies, they kind of just stayed full. And just to make sure I’m giving credit where credit is due, Dr. Colbert [New York dermatologist David Colbert, MD] did my lips, and he started super small and just went by my comfort level. I loved it.”

When asked if she’s had any plastic surgery or other procedures aside from her lips, Charnas replied that she hasn’t touched her face other than with Botox and lip filler.
