Pop titan and tour-de-force Adele has reportedly filed for a trademark on a new business venture: The Shelborne Collective. According to the Mirror, the filing would include both makeup and body care products, including eyeshadows and eyeliners, as well as lotions and even perfumes.
Having just finished a leg of her Las Vegas residency, now would be the perfect time to branch into the world of beauty, and we’re sure a brand backed by Adele will quickly rise to the heights of r.e.m. Beauty and Rare Beauty. The only question is whether or not her musical career will take a similar kind of pause once the brand debuts.
Of course, the star herself has not made any announcement regarding this venture, so for now we have to wait and see what The Shelborne Collective will have in store.
What We’re Excited For From Adele
Adele is an icon, and if she’s making makeup, we have a wishlist.
We know she looks incredible bare-faced thanks to the appearance on Youtuber Nikki Tutorial’s channel back in 2021, and we’ve been dreaming of her skin-care routine ever since. Maybe she’ll even drop a brow maintenance product on us, since we know she does her own.
“I love a brow,” Adele says. “But also if I don’t dye my brows—like these are dyed—I look like Voldemort. They go so pale and blonde. I actually learned how to dye my own brows in the pandemic. I used to go every week because I really am fair. One day I did a load of research, watched a YouTube video—ordered all the products on Amazon. I do it once a week on my own now.”
But if it’s makeup she’s going to start with, then you can be sure we want what she’s known for: gorgeous shimmery shadows and artfully bold eyeliner.
“I just feel like it’s my staple,” she says of her signature cat’s eye. “Also, without bragging, I do have such great eyes for makeup. I have my nana’s eyes. I have a real socket going on…Every time I meet a makeup artist they really go to town on my eyelids.” If she’s doing it herself, she’ll use the same color in her crease as she does for her cheek contour.”
