Hollywood’s biggest night is here and so is the beauty. An early favorite: Zoe Saldaña, who just gave the glow. One of the secrets to the nominee for Actress in a Supporting Role’s radiant skin: CurrentBody Skin’s Series 2 LED Mask and LED Neck & Décolletage Mask.

“I wanted the makeup to be very subtle and not clash with her dress,” says celebrity makeup artist Vera Steimberg. “Because of the prune color of the dress, I chose bronze and brown tones for the eyes, a very natural lip and radiant skin. I wanted the eyes to pop, but in a subtle way. I wanted it all to flow with her dress, not compete with it.”

Steimberg stresses the she really wanted to emphasize the skin. “Zoe has such beautiful skin, so as long as we have good prep, I can create this very sophisticated, natural, glowy look.”

The key to the prep: What’s known by industry insiders as “The Hollywood Mask” —the CurrentBody Skin Series 2 LED Mask. With exclusive layout of 236 LED bulbs, the Series 2 emits three clinically recognized wavelengths of light proven to help enhance and benefit the skin by reducing fine lines and promoting collagen production: red (633nm), near-infrared (830nm) and new deep near-infrared (1072nm).

The high-tech device also has a redesigned flexible liquid silicone shape to better fit all face shapes for maximum coverage, including upgraded full lip and nose coverage, plus a new contour shape that wraps underneath the chin.

Knowing that Saldaña’s purple Saint Laurent gown was strapless and would be showing off her neck and décolleté, Steimberg also used CurrentBody Skin LED Neck & Décolletage Mask, a hybrid treatment system that simultaneously addresses the skin on the neck and chest with the same clinically proven red and infrared wavelengths of light to address skin firmness, crepey texture, wrinkles and uneven tone.

“It’s such a brilliant treatment because people often forget about their neck,” says Steimberg. “I needed the help of both LED treatments for the red carpet prep to help revive the skin on her face and her neck and chest to give her back the collagen I needed to accomplish this glowy look. It’s the most amazing first step for me to begin the process. I carry CurrentBody Skin in my kit so that if we have the time to do it before a red carpet or an event, I’ll do it. I truly think it is something that we all need and should do every day.”
