Shannon Beador is urging her followers to get regular skin checks after a recent skin cancer scare.
"Just had skin cancer cut out," the Real Housewives of Orange County star shared in an Instagram post from yesterday. "I had a scab that never healed. Make sure to get regular skin checks!"

While this is surely a tough time for Beader, she has gotten a lot of support from her fans. "Oh gosh Shannon so powerful to share this with a message to get checked," says one follower. "I have skin cancer surgery known as Moh’s surgery on Monday for the same thing," says another. "A scab on cheek that didn’t heal and sure enough it was early stage of skin cancer. If In doubt, get it checked out!!!" Other commenters also shared their personal melanoma stories, reminding Beador that she's not alone.
In a previous interview with Bravo, the 58-year-old shared that she is in the process of launching a skin-care line, and now that she's had a recent run-in with cancer, maybe she is gearing up to launch an SPF product of her own.
