If your algorithm has been serving up an unusual amount of glowing skin lately, you can probably thank BTS’s Jin. The K-pop icon, who became LANEIGE’s first-ever male global ambassador back in 2024, is back for round two, this time fronting the brand’s debut into a whole new category: the Bouncy & Firm Cooling Hydrogel Eye Patches ($27).
The campaign, arriving fresh off BTS’s “ARIRANG” World Tour, follows him from an in-flight nap straight to a red carpet moment, patches presumably tucked in his carry-on, while reinforcing LANEIGE’s standing as one of the biggest names in Korean skincare.
As for the patches themselves, they’re inspired by microneedling and built like tiny serum reservoirs. The double-sided, embossed design hugs the eye contours while melting spicules help plant-derived PDRN, caffeine and niacinamide sink in deeper than a standard flat patch allows. LANEIGE says the formula visibly lifts and smooths fine lines and cuts down on puffiness in just 20 minutes, and if your smile lines are also asking for a moment, the patches can pull double duty there too.
The clinical numbers back up the hype. After a single 20-minute use, 100 percent of the 32 subjects tested showed improved under-eye puffiness. Stick with it for two weeks and 100 percent saw a visibly lifted eye area with less noticeable wrinkles, while 96 percent noticed a reduction in dark circles.
The patches are live now exclusively on TikTok Shop and LANEIGE.com, with Sephora.com and Amazon joining the party October 6, followed by Sephora stores on October 9. Between Jin’s massive ARMY fan base and LANEIGE’s already-cult status, don’t expect these to sit on shelves for long.
