Julianne Moore definitely knows her way around a high-tech beauty device. Not only is she the person who influenced Lindsay Lohan to start using her new favorite tool, the SKORR GLOW ($685), but if her role in Netflix's Sirens is any indication, she's also a big fan of LED light masks, too—specifically the CurrentBody LED Lip Mask ($250) and the LED Neck & Décolletage Mask ($420).
In the new series, Moore plays Kiki, a philanthropist and socialite who's also the boss of Simone, played by Milly Alcock. During one episode, Kiki and Simone are seen using LED devices on their mouths while prepping for a photo shoot, while Kiki is wearing a similar LED mask on her neck at the same time. According to Page Six, it was Moore's idea to use the devices for the scene, likely because she's a fan of them in real life.
“The props team told us they had LED face masks for the scene, and Julianne thought that the lip and neck masks would be such a better choice,” Moore's makeup artist Susan Reilly Lehane said. “As usual, she was absolutely right; it’s hilarious and so appropriate!”
The CurrentBody Lip Mask uses red light to smooth and soften fine lines on and around the mouth while simultaneously making the lips appear plumper over time. The neck mask targets crepey skin, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation around the neck area while boosting collagen production. They're both pretty pricey (as LED light masks tend to be), but per some reviews and before-and-after photos, they both work extremely well and are worth the splurge if you're looking for a spa-worthy way of treating problem areas on your skin.
