An Easy Way to Fix Asymmetrical Eyebrows

Uneven brows are more common than you think.

UnevenEyeBrows

A common concern among many women is uneven, asymmetric brows that are especially evident in photos. Why does this happen? Beverly Hills, CA, dermatologist Zein Obagi, MD, says that the left side of the face is not identical to the right, so uneven brows may be asymmetrical by nature. “They may also be caused by skin, bone, muscle and fat discrepancies in the underlying structure and support of your brows,” he adds.

“Injecting a hyaluronic acid filler beneath the brow and in the temples can recreate support in the area. Or, Botox can be used to raise or lower the positioning of one of the brows so they match better,” says Houston dermatologist Jennifer Segal, MD. Another option is Ultherapy, a skin-tightening treatment. “It can be used to lift the brows, which can help with asymmetries, as well as enhance the overall quality of the skin in the area,” says Dr. Obagi.
