At The Aesthetic MEET 2026 in Boston, NewBeauty sat down with El Paso, TX plastic surgeons Frank Agullo, MD and Ozan Sozer, MD to talk about why facelifts are suddenly dominating social media feeds and consultation rooms alike. According to the surgeons, today’s facelift patient is getting younger, with more people in their late 30s and 40s seeking subtle refinement before aging becomes more advanced. The doctors also discussed how GLP-1 weight loss is changing facelift consultations, why “lower facelifts” can sometimes create imbalance when the neck and surrounding facial structures are ignored and whether facelift results can really “slip” over time. While deep plane facelifts continue gaining popularity for their natural-looking lift and longer-lasting support, the surgeons noted that technique alone does not guarantee results.
