The way we assess the biggest brands in beauty these days is a bit different than what that would entail in the early 2000s. Cosmetify sought to identify the 10 hottest beauty brands in 2022. To get this information, Cosmetify looked at the 100 most searched beauty brands in the world and ranked them based on Instagram followers, Instagram engagement, Instagram mentions, annual Google searches and year-on-year search changes. Cosmetify noticed a shift towards sustainable products and natural ingredients this year as compared to last. Here are the top 10 beauty brands in the world.

This celebrity-founded beauty brand by Millie Bobby Brown had the highest Instagram engagement rate by far. This shouldn’t come as a shock as her show Stranger Things was one of the most viewed shows on Netflix last year. Additionally, the average consumer of Florence by Mills is generally very engaged on social media. The brand offers products for skin care, makeup and hair.

CeraVe has long been a trusted brand, so it’s impressive that it took the second spot on the hottest beauty brands leaderboard. It’s consistently a brand people turn to for quality, affordable skin care.
