She may be gone from the Real Housewives of New York, but socialite and reality star Tinsley Mortimer is not forgotten as many fans were sad to see the star exit the show this year to relocate to Chicago. Mortimer has stayed busy after RHONY by serving as the new Editorial Director of Style and Beauty for CouponCabin, which fans of the show know is the lucrative coupon business founded by her Fiancée Scott Kluth. To get in the winter mood, we asked the star to not only share her favorite skin-care and beauty picks for the cold winter months, but as avid fans, we also had to ask for the inside scoop on her upcoming wedding plans.

NewBeauty: What are your favorite skin-care and beauty must haves?
Tinsley Mortimer: This is my skin-care routine with all of my favorites! At night, I remove my makeup with Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes ($7). Next, I use SkinMedica Age Defense Retinol Complex .25 ($62) which doesn’t peel my skin or irritate it at all. Once I have allowed the retinol to absorb into my skin, I apply IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Sensitive Skin Moisturizer ($50), which is calming and thick but superlight and doesn’t clog my pores. Lastly, I apply a little Revision Skincare D.E.J. Eye Cream ($97).

In the morning, I wipe my face with CoffeeFace 3-in-1 Pads ($68) that exfoliate and moisturize my skin at the same time, which makes it feel wide awake! Then I apply tinted Elta MD UV Elements Broad-Spectrum SPF 44 ($36) all over my face and neck. This is my absolute favorite facial sunscreen because it also gives me a light tinted coverage, so I don’t need to put any foundation on during the day.

NB: What do you use on your skin or body when the weather in Chicago dips down low?
TM: Chicago weather can be brutal on your skin and lips. When it gets super cold and windy, I add oils and heavy creams to my routine. I love Sunday Riley’s Luna Sleeping Night Oil ($55) and Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil ($36). Luna is so soothing on my skin at night and reduces the appearance of pores and surface redness. Juno gives me an instant glow in the morning and helps hydrate my skin. It also has nine cold-pressed seed oils—that simply has to be good for you!

If I feel like I need a heavier face cream when my skin is super dry, I add Guerlain Orchidée Impériale The Cream ($480) to my routine. On my lips, I use Clé de Peau Beauté Lip Serum ($95). And when the weather really starts to crack and irritate my skin, I do not believe anything works better for my body than old school Aquaphor Healing Ointment ($7). I only apply this at night, because it is a little sticky, but it really works. When I need an extra boost, I’ll get a skin-care treatment at OVME, my go-to medspa.

NB: How about makeup? What are you using to emphasize your eyes in the era of masks?
TM: That’s easy! I use the lashes I created with Winky Lux named XXO TINSLEY ($20). I designed three styles—the Baby Doll, the Everything, and the Graduate. I’m obsessed with the Graduate style because they are full, with a beautiful flare in the corners, and they really make eyes look gorgeous and big. It’s the only lash I will ever wear! They’re so pretty, and I’m very proud of them. I promise you, once you try them, you are hooked! I always use Duo Quick-Set Strip Lash Adhesive ($7), because it makes it super easy to put your lashes on yourself.  After applying the lashes, I use a brush to put a thin line of MAC Cosmetics Blacktrack Pro Longwear Fluidline ($19) eyeliner on top of the lash to hide the strip and even it out. I also like to drag it out a little in the corners. Under my eyes, I love a Chanel eyeliner called Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Intense Teal ($33). It’s a nod to my 80’s blue eyeliner obsession, but the color is more modern and chic and really makes your eyes pop when wearing a mask.

NB: What pre-wedding treatments are you doing right now?
TM: Because of COVID-19 and the prohibitions on travel, we have not yet been able to set a date nor finalize a site for our wedding. However, I am working on a project…losing the five pounds I have gained from lack of activity. As soon as that weight is gone, I can’t wait to start trying on wedding dresses—for real this time!
