Recent research suggests that full lips may have as much to do with a woman’s perceived age as the appearance of wrinkles. Like we don’t have enough to worry about.
“The volume in your lips starts to decline as early as in the mid-30s,” says Palm Beach Gardens, FL, facial plastic surgeon Mark R. Murphy, MD. But how can you create a natural-looking, full lip without overdoing it?
A common concern among women who augment their lips is that they’ll be overfilled, creating a “duck-like” look where the lips jut out. But, in the hands of an experienced injector who can fill the lips incrementally, the lips can be augmented to create a completely natural look.

At-home care: Your lips are constantly exposed to the elements, which can cause them to dry out, which can lead to the development of lines. One of the easiest ways to avoid this is to keep the lips and skin around them well moisturized with products that contain hyaluronic acid, and free of lingering dead skin cells. Use a gentle lip exfoliator once a week.
