Well-known makeup artists and their celebrity clients alike adore face oils from Biography. Sharon Stone is one of the brand’s biggest proponents. Stone allegedly insists that her makeup artists bring a Biography face oil along to photoshoots and red carpet preparation and often carries a backup of her own. She emailed the brand professing her passion for the products, referring to it as “caviar to the skin.”
Stone specifically loves Long June Every Day Drops ($85), Golden Ray Glow Drops ($112) and Petty Grudges Renewal Drops ($112). However, Stone isn’t the brand’s only fan. Naomi Watts recently shared a photo of her makeup cabinet shelf featuring face oil from Biography. Male celebrities are also fans of the brand. Jimmy Fallon enjoys Few Words Shave Drops ($52). Celebrity makeup artists, including Monika Blunder and Georgie Eisdell, also love folding Biography into their process.
Celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman told People he uses the product on his clients, including Jodie Foster and Sarah Silverman. “When I glammed Jodie Foster for the Cannes Film Festival, I actually used a touch of Golden Ray mixed with her moisturizer to give it a sheerer, lighter feel,” says Freedman. “I love the one-two punch of a lighter base mixed with plenty of hydration.”
Why do so many celebrities love these face oils? Biography has a face oil for every need with quirky names, eco-friendly packaging and pure, healing ingredients. “We believe that nature’s ingredients and sustainable packaging are fundamental expectations for building a beauty brand today,” founder and CEO of Biography, Linda Thompson said in a statement. “Natural beauty does not need to be green and leafy. Biography is colorful, artful and meant to be displayed and repurposed.”
