Reality star, podcast host and wellness brand founder Teddi Mellencamp tends to get a lot of flack from fans and followers no matter what she does. The former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills chose to come clean about a recent facial surgery, sharing updates online and speaking openly about her decision to undergo a necklift to redefine her lower face, jawline and neck.
The star, 40, received some flack from a fan who privately messaged her on Instagram to complain about the star having facial surgery. “You’re public figured trying to help women lose weight yet you’re getting a facelift to remind those of us who need one who can’t afford one how ugly we are.” Mellencamp was not about to stand for the slander and posted a response from her recovery bed with fresh bandages still on.
“I am being transparent with my journey,” wrote the Two T’s in a Pod podcast host. “Would you prefer I like and pretend the loose skin on my neck disappeared? That’s not who I am. You want to only follow people that show themselves through a filtered version of themselves, then I’m not the person to follow.”
Not to be deterred from sharing her experience, Mellencamp polled her followers on whether or not she should continue to share about the cosmetic procedures she chooses to undergo. A resounding 96 percent agreed that the TV star should ignore the haters and continue to be open and honest.
