Since his 2006 Olympic debut, Shaun White is a seasoned Olympian. With five Games under his belt, it’s safe to say that he not only has mastered the art of snowboarding, but the art of self-care, too. Before heading off to this year’s competition, he told Page Six every self-care and beauty item he brings along with him for the ride to stay grounded.

“This is my favorite candle,” he says about Diptique Bais ($70). I have them in many rooms of my house. Being a professional athlete, I travel a lot and find myself sleeping in many hotel rooms, so I’ll throw one of these into my suitcase to burn while I’m on the road. It’s so nice to have something that reminds you of home when you’re away.”

Also in the fragrance category is his all-time favorite scent: Louis Vuitton MÉTÉORE ($265). “I’m a big scent guy, and will go back and forth between this and another cologne that I like,” he tells Page Six. Aesop is another fragrance house he loves, pinning the Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion as his top pick from the brand.

Getting enough rest throughout the competition and during travel is extremely important for every competitor, which is why White brings along his favorite pillow. “I travel a ton, so getting sleep on an airplane is crucial for me. I bought this pillow recently and love it,” he says about Night Pillow ($150). “It folds up easily and I like that it comes in a case so when I’m putting it through security it’s protected from all the germs and things. No one wants to put that on their face after!”
