In September, Sabrina Carpenter was named Redken’s first global ambassador and we, along with fans, have been eager to see what comes out of the partnership. We already got the details of the “Espresso” singer’s hair-care routine (she uses the brand’s Acidic Bonding Concentrate line) and uncovered the steps to her voluminous blowout. But now, she and Redken are making her signature blonde officially available by name in salons. As of this month, all you have to do is ask for “The Sabrina Carpenter Blonde” to covet her buttery blonde hair color.

Carpenter’s go-to colorist, Laurie Heaps—also a Redken brand ambassador—revealed the exact Shades EQ formula she uses to craft the star’s luminous blonde. The formula, now available to Redken salons, is made up of a custom blend of 09N (Café au Lait), 09G (Vanilla Crème) and 010GI (Tahitian Sand). According to Redken, “The result is a perfect buttery dimensional blonde with a hint of iridescence.” If you’re new to the brand’s Shades EQ line, it’s a low-commitment, demi-permanent hair color that delivers high shine and a subtle wash of color that lasts up to six weeks.

One thing to keep in mind: Since Shades EQ deposits color without lifting the hair’s natural pigment, The Sabrina Carpenter Blonde is best suited for those with naturally blonde or pre-lightened hair. That said, your stylist can help you achieve the perfect blonde hair transformation if you’re starting with darker locks—just ask for a consultation at your local Redken salon.
