Launch List: The Best Body Care Launching in December featured image

Hundreds of products come across our desks every month, but not all of them deliver on their claims or live up to the hype. (Not everything that goes viral on TikTok is a miracle worker.) This is our exclusive curation of the best-in-class body-care products receiving rave reviews from our team and hitting shelves right now.

Omorovicza Budapest Bath Oil ($60)

Omorovicza’s patented Healing Concentrate contains 26 minerals found in its Hungarian waters, and is made using a fermentation process that transforms the minerals into complex compounds the skin can recognize and absorb. This silky bath oil contains the Healing Concentrate, as well as nourishing jojoba oil for the ultimate skin-softening treat (it will be especially helpful for dry skin this winter).

The aromatherapeutic scent is a mix of rosemary, sage, geranium and chamomile essentials oils, and if you close your eyes and relax, you can drift off to Budapest for 20 minutes and truly let the oil work its soothing magic.

FOREO LUNA 4 Body ($149)

Here’s a disturbing fact: According to the brand, our skin accumulates more than 8.8 pounds of dirt and dead skin cells in a year. One year! This new body-cleansing device brings the brand’s signature sonic power to the body, and is clinically proven to remove 99 percent of dirt and oil from skin. Made with soft, food-grade silicone bristles (the brand says they are 35 times more hygienic than nylon), it uses T-sonic pulsations to remove all the grime from clogged pores.

It comes in three colors (purple, green and peach), and is great for those who have body acne or wear body sunscreen, body makeup or self-tanner (when you need to remove it effectively), and want to maintain clean, super smooth skin. It also improves lymphatic drainage, it’s a no-brainer for KP, and it creates the perfect surface for body serums, lotions and creams to penetrate better after a shower—I can feel the difference.

Salt & Stone x Leon Bridges Blue Mesas Body Wash ($36)

Created in collaboration with Grammy award-winner Leon Bridges, this limited-edition, vegan body wash (the base of which is the brand’s best-selling formula) is now infused with “a silky, woody Black Rose & Vetiver fragrance” that takes users on a beautiful sensorial journey. There’s a candle and deodorant in the collection as well.

“I wanted Blue Mesas to embody the aromas that filled my home growing up,” says Bridges. “My dad used to always wear this musky, woody fragrance called Domain in the 2000’s, and my mother was all about setting the ambiance with incense. I wanted to bring both of those worlds together for the scent of Blue Mesas.”

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant Aluminum-Free ($30)

A $30 price tag on a deodorant may seem steep, but this one has a major cult-following. The latest addition to the iconic Cashmere Mist body collection boasting the same warm amber-floral scent as the antiperspirant stick, this aluminum- and alcohol-free version is perfect for those wanting to mask body odor, but sweat protection isn’t a concern.

Will Perform WILL Relieve Lidocaine Pain Relief Roll-On Gel ($13)

Cofounded by Serena Williams—yes, the tennis legend—and product innovator Eric Ryan, this is a new player in the lidocaine-based muscle-care category. Made with 4-percent lidocaine, arnica and other soothing botanicals, the nonsticky gel delivers quick pain-relief to muscles demanding extra TLC both pre-and post-workout.

“Recovery has played an integral role in my performance and professional success,” says Williams. “It’s a practice that can benefit anyone with an active lifestyle. That belief is what inspired us to develop a line of products that targets your muscles and can be incorporated into your daily self-care routine.”

The athlete-centric design features a hands-free applicator—a three-pronged metal rollerball provides a massage effect—which the brand says was a big thing for Serena because she didn’t want to lose grip of her racket. There’s also a spray version if you prefer that format instead.

Patchology Rosé Fingers Renewing Hand Mask ($10)

Do you know anyone who could use a 10-minute break from their phone? Get them this new hand mask. Not only will they be forced to close TikTok and relax for a few, but their hands will also be getting a much-needed mini spa treatment inside rose-gold foil mittens. Shea butter, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C-rich strawberry oil go to work to moisturize and soften dry, rough patches, and antioxidant resveratrol helps prevent free-radical damage that leads to signs of aging. And yes, it smells like rosé (and there’s a foot mask too!).

Klei Beauty Rescue Rosemary & Eucalyptus Shower Steamers ($22)

As someone who suffers from both allergies and stress (I know I’m not alone), I’ve been a big fan of shower steamers over the past couple years since I was first introduced to them. Just set one on the floor of your shower, run the hot water to release the vapors, and take a deep breath (or 10).

These new ones from Klei are an essential during “cold season,” as they are made with a blend of camphor, peppermint, eucalyptus and rosemary essential oils that helps clear sinus congestion and promote better breathing. It’s one of the simplest additions you can make to your self-care routine, and if you’re like me, you’ll really enjoy it.

Barneys New York Beauty Sentiage Hand Cream ($32)

Hand cream: it’s the season’s must-have handbag accessory and the product you’re always desperate for when you don’t have it (and you’re staring down at dry, crepey hands that look like your grandmother’s). This cloudberry- and shea butter–infused cream comes in three scents that the brand says offer a “‘scentual’ (scent+ritual) experience using exclusive Scent-Entrapped SENTIAGE technology. Each scent is richly released as soon as the texture touches the skin, leaving a long-lasting fragrance and moisturizing power.”

The one shown here is “Attract All Things,” which is an aromatic green scent that “expresses a dreamy surrealist forest.” There’s also floral-citrus “Better Than Ever” with mandarin, sandalwood and amber; and “Mystery for Everyday,” a floral-woody fragrance with cedarwood at the heart.
