In a recent interview with Bustle, Kristin Cavallari talks through her beauty ritual, and while she’s a sucker for a good product—she is the founder of her very own skin-care line, Uncommon Beauty—she reminds us that true beauty comes from within.
“Skin care has always been really important to me as someone who’s always been prone to breakouts,” she says in the interview. “My biggest goal is to not get Botox Cosmetic or fillers—I don’t know what I’ll be saying when I’m 54, but that is my goal. And I think taking care of your skin, starting at an early age, is so important.”
Her morning skin-care routine consists of two essentials: her very own Pineapple Peptide Nectar ($62) and Daily Water Cream ($48). “I’ve had friends say, ‘Did you just get a facial?’ and it’s truly from these two products,” the 34-year-old tells Bustle. “They’re just so incredibly hydrating and almost like, plump up your face.”
While her two must-have products are the secret to her glow, she uses a microcurrent tool known as the Neurotris PICO Toner ($595) to keep her skin looking tight. “You put gel on your face, crank this thing up, and you can use gloves to rub on your face. It also has probes, or you can use pads and put them on your face so you can be hands-free. I do it for 10 or 20 minutes.” Cavallari adds that she prefers to use this before a big event or a photoshoot to “tighten everything up.”
The star also talks through her makeup go-to’s, pinning Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette ($25) as her favorite nude shadows and Too Faced Killer Liner Gel Eyeliner ($19) as her go-to eyeliner. When she’s going for an all-natural look, she says her only two essentials are mascara and full brows.
