The world is waiting with bated breath for Apple TV+’s Palm Royale to hit this week.

Starring and executive-produced by Kristen Wiig and Laura Dern, the ten-episode first season—which is set in 1969—will premiere globally with the first three episodes on March 20. (The ensemble cast also features Allison Janney, Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Chardae Robinson, Mindy Cohn, Julia Duffy, and Kaia Gerber, with special guest star turns by Bruce Dern and Carol Burnett.)

While we count down the minutes until we can watch on Wednesday, we have a little beauty detail behind Kristen Wiig’s sun-kissed glow from last week’s pink carpet premiere in Beverly Hills.

According to Wiig’s go-to makeup artist Jo Baker, her “glorious subtle golden tan” was courtesy of Queen Bee Salon & Spa.

The personal-care destination is also responsible for “the girls who got Margo golden for all the Barbie movie, press etc.,” according to Baker’s beauty notes.

Also part of the makeup inspiration, per Baker: “A smudged 90’s simple homage to the grunge eye, paired with lux skin and natural skin and freckles beaming through.”

“I wanted it to ooze that #coolgirl #90s #simplistic #grunge vibe but keeping it a little lux…with #sunkissed skin and making #freckles pop and finishing by the eye with a natural but fluttery lash for a little elevated glamour!” Baker posted, adding that she paired taupe mushroom and black liners with the “lemon drop” look. “Think #erinwasson #katemoss but bring it to 2024.”
