The Kardashians are no strangers to unsolicited public scrutiny, especially regarding their appearances and weight. However, they rarely let such comments go unanswered. Over the weekend, Kourtney Kardashian, 45, not-so-subtly silenced her critics with a now-expired Instagram Story and a post on her brand Poosh’s account, implying that their words don’t affect her. But the sentiment isn’t just about her—it’s a powerful message that everyone can benefit from.
The reality star posted a vintage-style poster of a woman on a scale with the message: “I’ve finally reached my goal weight of don’t f–king care. My body is the least interesting thing about me.” The caption of the photo simply read, “mood.”
The post received numerous responses from Instagram followers, many praising the company for sharing the post or agreeing with its message. “I stopped looking at the scale and it’s a relief. I go with how my body feels,” one person wrote. Another commented, “Learning not to care and to find my body beautiful at any size is the thing I’m most proud of!!”
This isn’t the first time she’s shared a message about postpartum body image…
Since welcoming her first child, Rocky, with husband Travis Barker in November 2023, Kardashian has shared a handful of messages on the topic. She’s experienced, after all: This marks The Kardashians star’s fourth child; she also shares three children with ex Scott Disick.
While on vacation this past April, she posted an Instagram Story with a message about postpartum body image and self-acceptance. “Dear new mommies,” it began, “Your body is beautiful at all stages. During pregnancy as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing [and] shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting.”
She continued: “and if you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it. I try to be king to myself as my body finds a new normal. The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different isn’t realistic. Life is beautiful, you are beautiful. Just a little reminder (for me too).” Perfectly said, Kourt.
She shared another message about postpartum body image just one month after welcoming her son, Rocky…
“Doing the most important job in the world … being a mommy. Keeping my baby alive, on demand breast-feeding means keeping calories high with lots of nourishing foods,” she shared via Instagram in December 2023, just one month after welcoming Rocky. “Taking time to slowly ease back into some uphill walks on the treadmill when I can sneak them in, along with my walks outside [pushing with Rocky] in the stroller. Be kind to yourself ❤️.”
