“I think of myself as a scientist, and I care about the science behind the technologies and the products I use,” says celebrity aesthetician Joanna Czech. She may have studied pre- medicine before launching her career as La La Land’s favorite facialist, but the principles and discipline have stuck with her and are part of what makes her the “ultimate skinfluencer.”
Czech has been known to travel with as many as 13 of her iconic, oversized readers, but her favorite pair is from Thierry Lasry ($375). Though Milan is her favorite city, Czech has racked up many frequent flyer miles traversing the globe. “My second job is as a flight attendant,” she jokes. Along with her glasses, Czech is never without her gold necklaces: Jen Meyer’s Good Luck Necklace (3,950), three from Irene Neuwirth and two from Becca Strauss—one of which she received after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The single beauty tool she can’t live without? Red LED Light ($1,795). “It stimulates the production of collagen, increases elasticity and reduces fine lines.” Each evening, Czech cleanses, tones, massages and applies serums (in that order). Once or twice a week, she adds a mask to the mix. One of her favorite skin-care lines: Dior’s Capture Totale.
Score a facial with Czech (a single session will run you $850) and admire her taste in music— everything from Dolly Parton to Sam Smith is on rotation.
