Starring opposite Kristen Bell and Adam Brody in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, Jackie Tohn’s character Esther isn’t one to stay quiet—and the same goes when it comes to the actress’s real-life skin secrets (including the in-office ones!).
As shared on Tohn’s Instagram, the 44-year-old feels as though she’s aging “like a medium-to-fine wine” and getting better with the years, but her skin hasn’t always “kept up.”
That’s why she turned to the nonsurgical, skin-tightening treatment of Thermage, which she says “she’s heard so many great things about.”
Regarded as one of the original skin-tightening devices to hit the market in 2002, Thermage uses monopolar radio-frequency (RF) energy to heat collagen fibers in the dermis, triggering fresh collagen production and the contraction of existing collagen.
It’s a go-to treatment for tightening and smoothing out wrinkles on the face, jowls, jawline and even delicate eye areas, as well as smoothing sagging skin on the stomach, arms and knees—all without needles.
“Love myself. Happy to be me,” Tohn shared in the caption. “And sometimes, you just need a treatment that’s proven to help improve the overall appearance of your skin. #ad#soltapartner I’m an actual patient. Results may vary. Ask your doctor if Thermage is right for you. Visit @thermageskintightening for more details and Important Safety Information.”
“My skin started looking smoother and tighter immediately, and I’ll continue to see improvement over the next six months,” Tohn said. “I’ll definitely be adding Thermage to my annual skin-care routine.”
As Tohn told us last year, a solid skin-care lineup is part of her daily routine—and she has a soft spot in her heart for CC creams.
“I really love Biossance,” she said. “I use their face oil ($74) every day. Love their makeup remover oil ($32) as well. They have some really good stuff. There’s an IT Cosmetics light-medium CC cream ($47) that I use. The original was always a little heavy for daytime. Then they made a nude glow one, which I swear by. I use it every day. I love the coverage of the other one, but this one is way more daytime-friendly.”
