Just this weekend, some friends and I were walking around downtown Delray Beach during the early St. Patrick’s Day festivities when I realized I’d made a horrible footwear decision-one that I was stuck with, blisters and all. This wasn’t the first time I’d wished I was carrying comfier shoes, but that never seemed realistic to me-that is until I heard about Flexflop and their adorably affordable Flexxi line.
Truth be told, these terry-coated flip-flops were intended for pedicure emergencies. After all, haven’t you ever looked down at your feet and heard a voice scream “Get thee to a nailery!” only to realize you have no means of protecting a pedicure due to polish-unpropitious shoes? But as The Woman With The Worst Toenails (I have a sash and everything), I know I’ll be using Flexxis for the sake of comfy feet.
You may be thinking, “Why not just carry around a regular pair of flip-flops?” I can think of at least two outstanding reasons. First, not every bag is going to have room for a pair of flops, and second, even if they do fit in your bag, all the grime on the bottom would get all over everything in your bag. Gross, right?
