Theoretically, rhinoplasty is designed to last a lifetime. However, other factors do come into play.
First, when was the nose job performed? Today’s surgeons are much more concerned with maintaining the nose’s framework, while rhinoplasty procedures from 15 or 20 years ago often removed too much tissue and underlying supportive structure that could lead to drooping or collapse over time.
Second, even with a solid post-rhinoplasty structure, the nose is dynamic and continues to age, and other signs of aging appear. However, if a surgeon maintains the nose’s framework with surgery, many of the aging changes can be minimized.
