What’s Your Morning Routine?
I wake up at 6:00 a.m. and have a shot of Organic Avenue Chlorophyll. Since the morning is my quiet time, I catch up on emails, but if I feel tired or stressed, I meditate or read. For breakfast, I either have Organic Avenue Green LOVE or two scrambled egg whites with spinach and coffee with a shot of espresso, milk and agave. It usually takes me an hour to get out the door.
Which Products Do You Use Everyday And What Do You Like To Wear?
In the shower I love using Fresh Brown Sugar Bath & Body Shower Gel and Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish. After I get out, I mix Tom Ford Neroli Portifino Body Oil and Body Moisturizer. For skincare, I use Patricia Wexler M.D. Dual-Action Foaming Cleanser and La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream. If my skin is extra dry, I use Luzern Laboratories Serum Absolut Rescue. For makeup, I use IMAN Cosmetics Skin Tone Evener BB Crème SPF 15 and our new CC Correct & Cover Powder to Crème Concealer with a touch of our Sheer Finish Bronzing Powder in After Glow. It’s the perfect cheek and eye multitasking product. I use our Luxury Moisturizing Lipstick and L’Oréal mascara.
What I wear is determined by what I’m doing that day for meetings with clients. I like to wear either Rachel Zoe suits or Stella McCartney. If I’m in a meeting with editors, it’s all about the accessories!
Describe A Typical Day At Work
I work out four days a week and do exercises like boxing, rowing and weights. I’m a big cardio fan. For me, no two days are alike, but I get to the office around 10 a.m. and work in product development, photo sections, fabric reviews and lately, feverishly creating a new brand, IMAN Home; starting with a bed and bath collection. For lunch, if I’m not hungry I have a David Kirsch Meal Replacement Protein Powder in Vanilla and add in strawberries or blueberries. Otherwise, I’ll have quinoa salad with vegetables or lentil salad with tuna.
What Do You Do After Work?
Some days I pick up my daughter and take her to her after-school programs. Others I go for a massage or food shopping at Eataly. I could spend the whole afternoon there! For dinner, I cook almost every night. Grilled chicken with vegetables is my favorite. I like everything to be seasonal and not too complicated. It should take about 40 minutes to make and must be fresh: that’s my criteria. I’m in bed around 10:00 p.m., but go to sleep between 11 and 11:30 p.m.
Are There Any Interesting Steps In Your Beauty Routine?
I really like to do half-day spas. My two favorites are the Spa at Trump Soho and Aire Ancient Baths because you feel transported to a mini-vacation. It’s very necessary in NYC!
