When it comes to mother-daughter duos, Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber have got a lot in common: The identical-level looks, the choice of profession and new to the list, the shared wellness practice of meditation.
As Gerber told British Vogue in a recent article, she’s “very into wellness” and that’s only gotten stronger in the past year during the stay-at-home: “It’s something that I will now carry with me into everyday life. I’m very into crystals – I have like a million of them all over my bedroom – and I ‘charge’ them out in the moonlight, especially during a full moon. I’m a weirdo like that. I’m also very into breathing – I do 4-7-8 breathing [breathe in for four counts, hold for seven and then breathe out for eight], which I think is incredible, and really calms me down. And then guided meditations. I think anything that works for you is incredible – I’m someone who likes to try everything.”
As Cindy shared with us exclusively just ahead of her 55th birthday earlier this year, she’s also spent the last year upping her wellness game—with a little side of sous chef. “I’ve been able to build and maintain my meditation practice,” she said. We’ve also been cooking more as a family. I bought the Breville Electric Wok, which has been something we’ve all enjoyed using.”
