The internet loves a good #challenge, especially one that empowers people. Thanks to the latest #WOKEUPTHISWAYchallenge we got to see how drop dead gorgeous Cindy Crawford looks when she wakes up, without a touch of makeup.

Saturday morning, the supermodel posted a makeup-free selfie of herself lying in bed. “@SamanthaMcMillin_Stylist nominated me to join the #WOKEUPTHISWAYchallenge — to help support the journey back to realness…and I accepted!” she wrote in the caption. “No filter, no makeup, no hair product (except what was left from yesterday’s shoot—ha!).” She looks totally healthy, happy and beautiful.
She also reposted in her caption the self-love message behind the challenge from celebrity stylist @ashleypweston. “Of course we all want to present perfection – who doesn’t love a good filter?? But why do we think posting our authentic, real self is somehow not love-able enough? It’s time to wake up.”
The challenge is in partnership with Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, an organization “committed to promoting the wellness of young people and inspiring them to create a kinder, braver world.”
If anyone challenged doesn’t want to post a filter-free, natural selfie, they’re asked to donate to the foundation instead. This way, the positive message can be spread one way or another.
Crawford chose to nominate fellow OG supermodel Christy Turlington as well as Helena Christensen. So fingers crossed we’ll also get to see the natural beauty of those two stunning women soon.
